Hi people, I got a R4i Upgrade Revolution for the DS(NDsi/NDSL/NDS) WWW.R4I-SDHC.COM with V1.4 is on the card. When I insert it into my DS Lite, nothing happens, theres no selection screen for the R4, so what should I do to get it working? All answers are appreciated thanks.

Hi Lavender,
Can you confirm that you have copied the kernel software for the R4 from www.r4i-sdhc.com and installed it onto your micro sd card?
When the DS Lite starts and you get the clock screen, does it say that there is no card inserted?

Hi and thanks for replying. Um installed kernel as in extracting the moonmemo, moonshl2, R4iMenu and R4dat then yes. I've tried several kernels and extracted into my sd card but the problem is at the main menu [the clock with calendar on top screen and pictochat, ds download play and lighting and other options on the bottom] on top of pictochat and ds download play, is saids that there is no DS card inserted although I inserted the R4 card along with the sd card. What do I do so that it shows up on my screen? Thanks again for replying =]

Hi,
Sometimes in the manufacturing process of the R4 cards the R4 card itself is made slightly thinner. his has the knock on effect that when inserted into your Nintendo DS the R4 card does not make a good enough contact with the contacts in the DS itself. One trick to check this is to tear of a small piece of thin card or folded paper and pushing it between the R card and the DS once it is inserted. This makes a tighter fit. Place the card or paper on the opposite side of the contacts on the R4 card.
Give this a go and let me know how you get on

Nope its still not working :/ So I put a piece of Que card slip into the side with the big R4i while the R4 is inserted into the DS. The R4 is still not working, help please =[
