I have Nintendo DSi XL ver 1.4E. I bought card R4i DSi XL Upgrade for DS/NDSi/NDSL/NDS v1.5 here:

I tried kernel from address:

But my DSi XL does not recognize the flashcard. The game slot on DSi menu is empty and it reads No card.
Any suggestions?

Hi,
Did the R4 card come with any USB cable connectors at all? Not for your Micro SD card but to connect the R4 card to your PC? Some of the recent updates to DS Cards have included a new step to flash the actual card itself. This requires USB connection to your PC, once it is done the card works fine, and if you do not do this then your card will not be visible in your DS - just like you mention.
If not then the card could be faulty. We have confirmed this new setup stp for the new M3i ZERO and the Supercard DSONEi cards.

There was only the r4i card and USB card reader for MicroSD. I have asked the shop and they replied
that it works. When i turn the r4i the PCB is red.

Hi again,
Ask the shop to help you get it to work for you - if they can't then ask for a refund or a replacement. The best R4 card to get is the R4i from www.r4i-sdhc.com you can buy this here: Best R4i card to buy
The kernels are kept up to date and they hardly ever fail - build quality on some of the other cards is a bit rubbish in our opinion...

Yes that is the right standalone card, the other card from the German website looks to be the same, if you want to buy fron this site give them a call first and ask them to makle sure that the card is from www.r4i-sdhc.com and not www.r4isdhc.com (No dash)
