Hi
I purchased an R4i card from Memorycard Zoo several months ago. Everything worked fine up until today, 14th April 2010.
When I attempt to use the R4 card I get the error messge - "system date error. Please check NDS system date"
The date/ time are correct. However I experimented by setting the date back one day and the R4i card worked ok.
My card - R4i Upgrade, Revolution for DS, V1.4
Card firmware - ver 1.12b
Can you help

Hi, I have had exactly the same problem today. Tried your change of date tactic and that has worked for me too. Wonder what will happen tomorrow when the date changes again??

Good News!!!
I think I've resolved my problem.
1. Firstly I made a 'back-up' of the contents of the R4i card and saved it onto my desktop. 2. I then formatted card - http://www.sdcard.org/consumers/formatter/ 3. I downloaded an updated version of the R4i software - a new version was updated last week apparentally - Ver1.20b 4. I copied software onto R4i card as per instructions 5. Inserted R4i card into NDS, switched the unit on and tested card - software loaded ok and 'Menus' appeared with no problems and more importantly - NO ERROR MESSAGES.
6. Switched off NDS and removed R4i card - carefully copied contents from 'back-up' I made previously - IGNORING ALL EARLIER VERSIONS OF R4I SOFTWARE - I DIDN'T COPY THEM.
7. Happy days. Problem solved.
Hope this works for you.

Hi,
If the card has the URL www.r4i-sdhc.com on it then go and download version 1.20b from their site.
(You can get this from your order history if you purchase via memorycardzoo as I have been told they have updated the kernel to 1.20b already)
If you purchased elsewhere then check the manufacturers site and download and install the latest kernel.

I just encounter the same problem and I accidentally know the solution
To fix this problem in a simple way "No Download required" and "No Reformatting your NDS"
1. Go to system setting 2. Click "Date" under the "Profile" 3. Adjust the Date for example 04/14/2010 change to 04/14/2009 just decrease the year
Hope it Help you out ^_^

If your card is from www.r4isdhc.com then they have updated their kernel software to 1.16b which permanently fixes the date issue. :-)

Can you please give me the links to D/L as I could not locate: kernel software to 1.16b anywhere. Maybe I am not looking probably. Thanks.
