Hello,
I apologize if this has been posted already, I have no seen this issue after reading several other topics.
I cannot get my new R4i Gold to work in my DS lite.
I used several different tutorials online, downloaded the kernel from different websites, the latest one being: http://www.r4-pro.com/download_en.html
I took screen shots and pictures in hope this can help anyone figure out what I'm doing wrong.
This is what I have:
My SD card in computer is my H Drive:
After downloading the kernel, this is what it looks like:
Putting it into the DS this is what it looks like:
I click on the "Star wars lethal alliance" and I get this:
It does not change, it's like it's frozen on the white screen.
I tried shutting it off and turning it back on. Taking the R4i card in and out of the DS. Formatting the SD card several times and re-installing the kernel.
My friend that has an R4 tells me he has no idea why it's not working, neither do I, this is my first kind of card for DS. I'm feeling kinda hopeless, I don't wanna have to return it to the store, I'd really like to get it working.

Somehow, I remember clearly downloading from that exact website and it didn't work.

my r4i gold hasnt got a website on it.. does it mean it's fake? But i played on it for a month, and my friend told me that i should update it on http://www.r4igold.net/r4i-gold-download.html and so i did. And after i updated it, it goes loading then switches to a white screen for ages, and i've been trying to fix it for 2 days and yet it doesnt work? Please help!

well no, my mum bought it for me and she said the lady didn't give her a box and she just came back with the memory stick and my game and on the card it say "R4i SDHC and at the bottom in small words Revolution for DS (NDSI/NDSL/NDS) "
i backed up my _system_ folder and moonshell but forgot to back up _DS_MENU.DAT and the other one x

the web site dont work at alll i have tryed differnt links to it but still no luck is there any way to get what i need from a differnt site do you think ive beein trying to get it working all day all i get is a white screen

I had two white screens with my r4i gold until I got the firmware from here and now it works fine - www.r4i-sdhc.com.au

Hi stacey,
Thanks for your post - its nice to see screenshots!
Unless your R4i card is faulty (Which is possible) then only other issue is that the software you have downloaded is not the right version from your R4i card. I can see that the url on the R4i card is http://www.r4igold.cn.
You should go there (and only there) to download the correct Kernel - which at time of writing was version 1.14b. This is the only guarantee that the software you are using will be the right one.
If you do this ad it still does not work - contact the store you purchased your R4i card from and ask them to replace it.

Hi Bella,
It could be that your R4 is indeed faulty. Are you 100% its the same R4 card with the same URL on the R4 card? sometimes the URLs are only slightly different. Check carefully. If you are absolutely 100% certain you have the right software and have installed it correctly then contact the retailer for a replacement,

Hi,
There are lots of R4 Gold cards out there and they all use different software, the error you are seeing is what would happen if you used the wrong software. Is there not a URL on the box it came in?

Hi,
I am not sure that website is correct - can you try these:
www.r4igold.cnwww.r4i-gold.cn
www.r4igold.net
The first two were not responding at time of writing but they do come up in Google searches so must be correct. We have seen sites such as these go down from time to time but keep trying.
