A friend of mine got me an r4i gold card which was all set up with loads of games ready to go. It did work for a few days then my son tried to load a game and it crashed. Now when we try to load it it just says Loading and a black screen. I dont have any of the games or anything on my laptop as it was all installed for me ready to use. I have downloaded the latest version i need incase it was that but when I put my card into my laptop it just says empty, it doesn't show anything that is on the r4 card. When I try and add the latest version download onto the removable disk it says that there is not enough space on the removable disc so there is games etc on the card i just cant view them. Help please, this is all new to me and i dont know what to do.

It seems as though the R4 Gold has wiped your memory card or rather corrupted the memory card. Your best bet is to format the micro sd using the SD card formatter. See this page:

I am having the same issues. I have reformatted the sd card purchased a new one and also downloaded the new kernel file for the dsi. Please help me this is getting real frustrating.thanks

Hi Kellz,
What is the URL printed on your R4 card. Is that where you are downloading the kernel software? If so what version is it?
