My card was working fine and playing all games for a about a week. I've only
had it for a week. Last night I hit the Wi-Fi option and it started downloading
kernel updates. When I turned the DSI back on it now says "Fake Card-Return to
Retailer" I'm not sure what I did wrong. Here are a list of the things I did
try:
1. Formatted the SD
card
2. Redownload latest
software
3. Did exactly what
directions said and drag and dropped each folder one at a time onto card and did
not put any games on it.
4. Reset DSi back to factory
settings
5. Re-downloaded Dsi
updates
6. Tried installing R4i
version 1.09c
7. Tried installing R4i
version 1.20b
Please help. I would very
much appreciate it.

Sorry I forgot that.
It's an R4i Revolution Upgrade w/1.4 compatible sticker. It came in a red box with the URL www.r4i-sdhc.com
The company website (where I bought the card) is www.r4i-ds-card.com
I also downloaded the r4-r4i v. 1.20b from the companies website.
Now, I get a white, blank screen.

Hi,
You need to go to this address http://www.r4i-sdhc.com/downloade.asp and download version 1.20b from there - make sure you format your memory card before installing this kernel so that you know you are starting from scratch. Copy your files to your PC if you need to keep any and copy them back on only when you have tested that it works. (Even with no files you shoudl still get past the loading error etc).
Give that a go and get back to us with any issues..

I've tried this twice before and had no luck but I will try it again and let you know. I am going to pick up a new SD card today to see if that fixes the issue as well and then I'll let you know. Thanks for you help

It's awful how difficult these things can be. I still don't get how it worked fine for a week and then just quit. It's especially hard for people with minimum finances  - You are the first to even bother giving me any suggestions so thanks for that
Do you recommend any particular SD card?

Just got back from getting the Lexar 2GB. Tried the latest software from the website and then then kernel you suggested. Neither works. I get the black loading screen with an error message: "Fake card Please return to retailer" I am so tired of this. Looks like I am going to have to return the R4i card to the company. *Sigh*
