Have just purchased 2nd R4i card - when it arrived, I was surprised to see it was red, and printed on the card, Christmas Version, Limited SDHC upgrade V1.4 Revolution
www.r4isdhc.com

I have downloaded the correct software onto the card 4 times, but when I try and play a game, it takes between 3 & 5 minutes to load.

Any ideas?

Hi,

I am guessing you are using a 4GB Kingston Micro sd card. Am I right? If so there is a known issue/incompatibility with Kingston 4GB cards and lots of brands of these DS Cards (R4, R4i or otherwise). If you can buy yourself a Sandisk card as these work the best! :-)

Many Thanks

Hi,

I purchased a 8gb SD card at the same time as the R4i card - I have telephoned cust services who asked what make it was-can't remember but made in Taiwan, they suggested there may be an issue with the SD card and to send it back for a replacement which I've done today.

Fingers crossed.

Hi,

Cool - they have a nice website. How did you find their customer services? I've not heard good reports at all about their post sale service!

Many Thanks

Hi,

I'll reserve judgement for the moment on that one!

It did take me quite a while to get through by phone, and I was advised immediately to return the memory card using the return info on their web-site.

I returned the item a week ago & used their 'live chat' facility today to get an update, but, apparently, their freepost deliveries take a week or so to reach them, but the chap did confirm that a replacement card would be sent out as soon as the faulty one reached them.

Will update as soon as I know anything new.
